Position Overview
We are seeking a proficient Automotive Service Specialist to become a vital part of our workforce. This role requires a commitment to professionally assess, troubleshoot, and execute repairs on automotive systems while ensuring a superior customer experience. The Specialist will articulate technical assessments and necessary repairs to both colleagues and clients. Continuous learning of emerging automotive technologies and methodologies is essential, along with maintaining a clean and secure work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair automotive systems to industry standards, including brake and hydraulic systems, exhaust, basic electrical systems, cooling systems, and suspension and alignment, while performing all routine maintenance services.
  • Fulfill the responsibilities of all subordinate positions, including Mechanic and General Service Technician.
  • Clearly communicate technical assessments and required repairs to non-technical individuals, including team members and customers, as necessary.
  • Engage in ongoing education and training sessions to remain current with the rapidly evolving automotive landscape.
  • Support fellow technicians in executing technical tasks.
  • Keep management informed of any mechanical repair issues as they arise.
  • Maintain an orderly and tidy workshop environment.
  • Comply with all organizational policies, procedures, and safety regulations.

Qualifications and Skills

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of one year of substantial experience in automotive mechanical diagnostics, problem-solving, and repairs.
  • Possession of two or more ASE certifications is PREFERRED for this role (A4 Steering and Suspension & A5 Brakes).
  • Section 609 certification is PREFERRED.
  • State Inspection license, if applicable.
  • Demonstrated motivation, energy, and a customer-centric approach.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment background screening.
  • Availability to work various shifts, including evenings, holidays, and weekends as necessary.
