**Key Responsibilities:**
- Design and Develop Packaging Machinery: Utilize 3D solid modeling to design packaging machinery mechanics, incorporating industry-standard designs to meet customer requirements.
- Develop Innovative Solutions: Develop innovative machinery solutions to address evolving customer needs.
- Ensure Calculation Accuracy: Ensure precision in calculations related to kinematics, dynamics, pneumatics, and servo motion analysis for the design of automation mechanisms and equipment.
- Document and Bill of Materials: Prepare comprehensive working drawings and bills of materials for standard manufacturing processes.
- Component Research: Research and select purchased mechanical components, ensuring proper sizing and compatibility with the machinery designs.
- Assembly Drawings: Develop detailed assembly drawings for both production and customer usage, facilitating component identification.
- Cost Reduction and Quality Improvement: Collaborate on initiatives to reduce costs and enhance the quality of mechanical designs for our packaging machinery.
- Understand Customer Specifications: Comprehend customer's mechanical specifications and packaging operation needs to tailor designs accordingly.
- Collaborate and Document: Collaborate with the technical writer to create comprehensive machine documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
**Qualifications:**
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) preferred or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical and pneumatic design of packaging machinery.
- Proficiency in 3D modeling is required.
- Strong design experience is essential.
