Job Summary

US Foods is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse Sanitation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our warehouse and related property.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sweep and clean the entire warehouse to maintain a high level of cleanliness.
  • Empty trash bins and clean the trash area daily, operating the trash compactor as needed.
  • Pull pallets and clean/scrub product bays on a rotating basis.
  • Clean up spills or breakages to inventoried product, recoup damages, and determine if resalable or must be disposed of in accordance with government and U.S. Foodservice food safety requirements.
  • Perform light maintenance duties as assigned, including replacement of light bulbs, collecting recyclable materials, paper and shrink wrap collection pickup, checking freezer and cooler for leaks or ice build up, etc.
  • Prepare various reports and forms to document cleaning schedule, spillages, product damage, etc. May track and order maintenance supplies.
  • Clean other areas of the warehouse and offices, including break rooms, rest rooms, test kitchens, offices, etc.
  • Maintain facility grounds and dumpster areas.
  • Operate scrubber, pallet jack, and high lift as required to perform duties.
Requirements
  • High School education or GED preferred.
  • Previous custodial experience preferred.
  • Able to read and write legibly, follow orders, and possess basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
  • Able to work with little direct supervision.
  • Experience in operation of warehouse equipment, including reach trucks, pallet jacks, sweepers, floor scrubbers, bailers, and hydraulic trash compactors.
