Job Title: Diesel Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Ryder. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on our fleet of heavy-duty trucks.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance, including oil changes, brake and tire work
  • Diagnose and repair issues with diesel engines, including AC, electrical systems
  • Perform advanced skilled level repairs, including major engine repairs, diesel after treatment, and automotive fuel injection repairs
  • Coordinate work schedule with customers and ensure quality of repair work performed
  • Interact with customers to facilitate preventative maintenance, repair issue resolution, and discuss new repair estimates
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Vocational or technical certification, post-secondary degree, or technical certifications preferred
  • Basic tools required
  • Three years or more relevant work experience, preferred
  • Non-commercial driver's license, CLASS E, preferred
  • Valid commercial driver's license, CLASS A, preferred
  • Other state driver's license, as required
