About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician I to join our UniFirst team. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our industrial equipment and systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on industrial equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
  • Utilize hand and power tools, precision measurement tools, and electronic testing devices to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
  • Ensure safe operation of machinery and equipment, following all safety protocols and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve maintenance goals and objectives.
  • Perform daily and weekly safety checks on equipment and systems, and make necessary repairs and adjustments.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; two-year technical degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 6 months' experience in maintenance or repair of industrial equipment; applicable military experience considered.
  • Valid driver's license and safe driving record required.
  • Knowledge of maintenance equipment and procedures, including lockout/tagout protocols.
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics, and understand maintenance literature.
  • Basic computer and Microsoft Office skills required.
