Overview:
BCC Engineering, a leading design firm, is seeking a talented roadway engineer to join our team. As a highway design specialist, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects and contribute to the growth and success of our company.
Responsibilities:
- Work under the supervision of a licensed engineer to analyze and prepare roadway designs, including Temporary Traffic Control Plans (TTCP) and expressway designs, using DOT and local jurisdiction criteria.
- Develop 3D models of roadways using Corridor Modeling in GEOPAK and/or Open Roads.
- Approach tasks with an open mindset and propose innovative solutions to design problems.
- Prepare engineering reports and contract documents for review by a licensed engineer.
- May track and provide initial review tasks of technicians or designers.
- Responsible for managing timely completion of multiple assigned tasks.
- Communicate effectively with team members and internal design groups; external communication as required on assigned tasks.
- Effectively present proposed design solutions as part of internal project meetings; may attend and contribute to presentations with external parties.
- Adhere to company marketing requirements by providing timely resume updates and participating in marketing campaigns.
- Ensure timely completion of time sheets and expense reports.
- Take ownership of personal career development by seeking and providing feedback, seizing opportunities to develop new skills, and setting and pursuing personal goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering.
