About the Role

The Alohilani Resort Waikiki Beach is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Housekeeping Department Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Housekeeping Department, you will be responsible for ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service and that our rooms and public areas are maintained to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Room Assignment and Inspection: Prepare and inspect rooms to ensure they meet our high standards of cleanliness and quality.
  • Guest Service: Respond to guest requests and resolve any issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Training and Development: Support the training and development of new housekeeping staff members.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of inventory and supplies.
  • Loss Prevention: Monitor and report any incidents of loss or damage to property.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular walk-throughs to ensure that our rooms and public areas meet our high standards.
  • Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with all departments and staff members.
Requirements
  • Experience: At least 2 years of progressive experience in a hotel or a related field.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Skills: Proficient in Windows, Company-approved spreadsheets, and word processing.
  • Physical Demands: Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
  • Communication: Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with all levels of employees and guests.
