Job Title: Registered Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Christiana Care Health System.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care in our Post Anesthesia Care Surgical Observation Unit, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform accurate clinical assessments of patients on admission and throughout hospital stay, documenting findings according to established standards.
  • Identify actual and potential problems for which the patient is at risk, initiating and modifying a nursing plan of care based on assessment and diagnosis.
  • Assess and document patient response to interventions, individualizing guiding methods to best suit patient's and their family learning needs and abilities.
  • Encourage patient/family participation in the discharge process and informed decision-making, coordinating medications safely and optimally.
  • Respond optimally to patient crisis situations as outlined in unit-specific standards, initiating and participating in team meetings and interdisciplinary discussions regarding patient care or practice.
Requirements:
  • BSN Preferred, dedication to acquiring BSN within three years of the date of hire can be considered with relevant experience.
  • Qualified applicants MUST have at least two years of experience in med/surg.
  • Current RN licensure in the State of Delaware.
  • BLS required.
  • ACLS, PALS, and TNCC are required within 6 months of hire.

The successful candidate may be eligible for a $10,000 sign-on- bonus to be paid over 12 months.
