Qualifications

Essential:

  • 8+ years of prior experience in commercial estimating
  • Clean driving record in Arizona; DMV report required
  • Pre-employment drug screening and background verification
  • Strong knowledge of electrical trade and the National Electrical Code (NEC)
  • Experience in estimating and project management; familiarity with McCormick software is a plus
  • Proficient in technology, including Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, and computer estimating tools
  • Excellent communication and time management abilities
  • High attention to detail for precise estimating and project coordination
  • Confirmable references required

Key Responsibilities

Estimating Duties

  • Conduct counts and take-offs for projects using McCormick Estimating with updated material pricing and RDS estimating protocols.
  • Present proposals to clients and secure project agreements.
  • Develop high-quality bids and proposals that encompass complete project scopes and follow up with clients.
  • Maintain a comprehensive perspective on critical path requirements across job sites for all departments.
  • Adopt a leadership approach to enhance company systems, management practices, and best practices.

Project Management Duties

  • Facilitate pre-job meetings and transition responsibilities to the Foreman.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of long lead items.
  • Price and process change orders effectively.
  • Create new job budgets and manage existing ones.
  • Review and monitor job costs for potential discrepancies.
  • Process monthly billing efficiently.
  • Assist field superintendents and foremen with technical inquiries.
