Residential Cleaner

Sharon Health Care is currently seeking dedicated individuals for the role of Housekeeper. The ideal candidates should be at least 18 years old and have completed a minimum of an eighth-grade education. A year of experience in housekeeping or laundry services is essential, with a preference for those who have worked in long-term care, behavioral health, or geriatric settings. We are committed to training those who are eager to support our unique populations.

Successful candidates will be responsible for a variety of daily housekeeping and laundry tasks, including but not limited to:

• Cleaning, dusting, and polishing furnishings and fixtures in resident rooms and common areas.
• Sanitizing and maintaining bathroom fixtures.
• Performing floor care activities such as sweeping, mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, and disinfecting.
• Setting up appropriate caution and safety signs while executing cleaning tasks.
• Washing and dusting walls and ceilings, as well as cleaning non-carpeted floors.
• Disposing of trash in designated containers and ensuring trash receptacles are properly lined.
• Collaborating with residents to keep their living spaces safe and clean.
• Maintaining and cleaning housekeeping equipment.
• Ensuring work areas are tidy and that tools, equipment, and supplies are stored correctly.
• Adhering to policies and procedures related to universal precautions and infection control during all housekeeping and laundry tasks.
