Supply Chain Director

We are seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Director to join our team at Sterling Engineering. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of our materials management function, including product costs, vendor negotiations, inventory control, and accuracy.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain management, with experience in inventory planning, procurement, and logistics. You will be responsible for establishing and executing processes that support inventory forecasting, planning, and control across all lines of business.
Key Responsibilities:- Establish and execute inventory planning strategies and tactics to support the continuous supply of required materials and flawless delivery.
- Maintain the required inventory to run production and sales processes smoothly while optimizing Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD).
- Promote the application of best practices related to inventory management across all lines of business, using corporate systems and developing cross-division collaboration.
- Own the continuous improvement process to meet stretched On-Time Delivery (OTD), stock coverage, customer satisfaction, and cost reduction targets.
- Develop and implement a roadmap for make-or-buy long- and short-term purchasing agreements for direct and indirect categories.
- Perform and publish root cause analyses on key metrics, including Customer Service Levels, Supplier performance, and Inventory Management.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Materials Management, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or equivalent.
- 7+ years of experience in procurement and materials management in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong computer skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and other Windows-based Office software, as well as ERP and MRP skills.
- Progressive personal growth within the organization, cross-functionally and vertically.
- Management experience, including budget and personnel responsibility.
- Demonstrated experience in leading teams and developing direct reports.
