Job Title: Electrical/Mechanical/Diesel Fire Truck Technician

E-ONE is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical/Mechanical/Diesel Fire Truck Technician to join our team. As a key member of our Service Department, you will be responsible for providing technical support and training to dealers and customers on the operation and maintenance of our fire trucks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in resolving service and parts problems, ensuring a professional image is maintained
  • Disseminate technical information and act as a liaison for dealers and customers
  • Travel to various locations to provide on-site support and training
  • Interact with dealers, customers, and vendors to resolve installation or application problems
  • Administer company policies and procedures, and assist with tasks such as delivery of new vehicles and aftermarket parts sales
  • Work directly with the Service Department to coordinate delivery to customers
  • Review shop orders for completeness and troubleshoot any issues
  • Provide necessary training to customer personnel and establish relationships to encourage brand loyalty
  • Arrange for periodic vehicle inspections and assist in resolving difficult field repairs
  • Develop and prepare technical documentation materials, including manuals and videos
  • Provide continuous follow-up to problem areas identified and initiate engineering changes as needed
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, good teaching, oral and written communication skills
  • Broad knowledge of multiple disciplines, including mechanics, plumbing, electrical, paint, body repair, and hydraulics
  • Proficient computer skills and strong customer relations
  • Two years of college or trade school, specializing in mechanic, electrical, hydraulics, or engines, or a minimum of five years of experience in field service or on E-ONE fire apparatus
