We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Technologist PRN to join our team at HCA Florida Gulf Coast Hospital. As a Medical Technologist PRN, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality laboratory testing and analysis to support patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Perform complex laboratory tests and procedures in specialty departments, including Hematology, Clinical Chemistry, Blood Bank, Serology, Coagulation, Urinalysis, and Microbiology.
- Conduct microscopic, immunologic, biologic, bacteriologic, hematologic, and chemical tests and analyze results to provide data for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease.
- Receive and process specimens, troubleshoot instrument problems, and document corrective action.
- Ensure quality control is properly performed and logged, and follow department procedures for corrective action.
- Train new employees and/or students on laboratory procedures and protocols.
- Participate in phlebotomy and accession responsibilities.
- Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or Clinical Laboratory Sciences.
- Medical Technologist (MT) registry or eligibility.
- ASCP or equivalent certification preferred.
