About the Role
HCA Florida Gulf Coast Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Medical Technologist to join our team. As a Medical Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality laboratory services to our patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform complex laboratory tests and procedures in various departments, including Hematology, Clinical Chemistry, Blood Bank, Serology, Coagulation, Urinalysis, and Microbiology.
- Conduct daily duties, including analysis of microscopic, immunologic, biologic, bacteriologic, hematologic, and chemical tests and their results.
- Receive and store specimens, as well as troubleshoot and resolve instrument problems.
- Document corrective action and assure quality control is properly performed and logged.
- Train new employees and/or students, and actively participate in phlebotomy and accession responsibilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or Clinical Laboratory Sciences.
- Medical Technologists (MT) registry required to start.
- ASCP or equivalent preferred.
- US Authorization to work is a requirement.
