Position Summary:

At Vail Resorts, exceptional service is at the core of our mission, and our retail staff exemplifies this commitment. As a key member of our Retail Management team, you will provide top-tier customer service and operational support, representing our brand and culture within our retail locations, ready to assist customers with inquiries and deliver premium products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and maintain the rental fleet, including tuning, inventory management, overdue rental recovery, and end-of-season fleet retirement.
  • Manage daily equipment dispatch and rental returns.
  • Assist customers with advance rental reservations and walk-in requests.
  • Guide customers in proper ski boot fitting and ski binding functionality.
  • Complete all necessary training and certification for ski binding manufacturers, ensuring compliance among rental staff.
  • Support daily store operations, monitor sales performance, and manage scheduling and payroll; act as the manager in the absence of the Store Manager.
  • Maintain records for performance metrics, sales, inventory control, and rental KPIs.
  • Assist in hiring and training employees on various systems and guest service techniques.
  • Provide constructive feedback to team members and recognize outstanding performance.
  • Stay informed about product knowledge and deliver excellent customer service.
  • Engage in leadership discussions to provide insights on store performance and improvement opportunities.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, including areas such as retail merchandising and inventory management.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED; business training or education preferred.
  • 1-3 years of supervisory experience in retail; experience in the ski industry is a plus.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment and manage multiple customer interactions.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, holidays, and weekends.
  • Fluency in English is required.

The expected pay range is $25.00. Individual compensation will be determined based on various factors.
