Job Description

Thompson Pipe Group is seeking a highly skilled Estimator to join our team in Los Angeles. As an Estimator, you will play a critical role in the preparation and submission of bids for projects related to the manufacturing and supplying of precast pipe, box culverts, manholes, and structures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and submit accurate and detailed cost estimates for projects, taking into account all requirements and specifications.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company procedures.
  • Collaborate with sales, engineering, and project coordination teams to ensure effective bid preparation and submission.
  • Identify and assess site exposures, construction risks, and opportunities for value engineering.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and partners.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as construction management, engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in estimating, bid preparation, and project management.
  • Proven track record of delivering accurate and timely estimates, with a strong understanding of industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and assess complex construction risks and opportunities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in a relevant field, such as construction management, engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications, such as LEED AP or PE, are highly desirable.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and business growth.
