About the Role:

As an Endoscopy Center Tech at CommonSpirit Health, you will play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of patient care and safety. Your expertise in cleaning and maintaining endoscopic equipment will ensure that our patients receive the best possible treatment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain cleaning processes for scopes and storage areas on a daily basis.
  • Assist in preparing procedure areas to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Provide assistance to licensed healthcare practitioners with patient care during endoscopy procedures.
  • Perform routine maintenance of scopes and endoscopic equipment to prevent malfunctions.
  • Participate in infection control studies to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.

Requirements:

  • Either completion of a gastroenterology or endoscopy technician training program, or 1 year of related experience in a healthcare setting with completion of a Medical Assistant, Operating Room Tech, or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program.
  • Certified Flexible Endoscope Reprocessor with a 5-year registration through The Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution, or Current Certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Surgical Technologist, or Medical Assistant through the State of Washington.
  • Current healthcare provider BLS certification.
