Job Summary

AmeriMed EMS is seeking a highly skilled EMT or Paramedic to join our team. As a key member of our emergency medical services team, you will respond to emergency and non-emergency ambulance calls, providing medical attention and safe transportation to patients.

Responsibilities
  • Comply with all corporate policies and procedures.
  • Maintain EMT or Paramedic certification as required by the State and/or NREMT.
  • Maintain a current CPR card.
  • Maintain a valid Driver's License and have a safe driving record.
  • Render appropriate medical care, within the scope of practice of an EMT or Paramedic, under the guidance of established medical protocols and standing orders.
  • Demonstrate ability to work well with people, both internally and with external customers.
  • Perform any other tasks required to get the job done.
Requirements
  • Must hold a valid State and/or NREMT License at an EMT or Paramedic level.
  • Current CPR card.
  • Must possess a valid Driver's License and have a safe driving record.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to talk constantly, both in person and on the phone.
  • Must have close visual acuity to perform activities such as patient care activities, preparing and analyzing data and figures; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection of small writing and/or operation of office machines and EMS related equipment.
  • Must be able to speak English constantly.
  • Must be able to read English.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position constantly (approximately 80% of the time).
  • Must be able to type or write constantly (approximately 15% of the time).
  • Must be able to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Must be able to occasionally move about in the ambulance to access the patient, provide patient care and retrieve and use equipment.
