Position: Production Warehouse Associate

Role Summary:

The Production Warehouse Associate at Belt Power, LLC., is tasked with a variety of responsibilities within our shipping and receiving department. This role also encompasses the fabrication and installation of conveyor belts and associated products, either on-site or at customer locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Construct and repair conveyor belts and their components.
  • Install and perform vulcanization on lightweight conveyor belting.
  • Receive, verify, and manage incoming parts, materials, and supplies; maintain inventory areas and process sales orders.
  • Prepare products for shipment, ensuring accurate verification and documentation of all items loaded.
  • Coordinate with transportation carriers and delivery services.
  • Execute tasks related to the fabrication, installation, and repair of conveyor belting and systems.
  • Maintain meticulous shipping records for various categories, including returns.
  • Keep an updated database of shipment information.
  • Alert supervisors to significant discrepancies, over-shipments, or substitutions.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail in all tasks.
  • Ensure a clean and organized work environment.
  • Transport and deliver orders, stock, and supplies as needed.
  • Adhere to safety protocols to ensure the well-being of all personnel. Exercise caution in the use of tools and equipment.
  • Comply with all safety regulations and maintain a tidy workspace.
  • Represent Belt Power professionally at all times.
  • Utilize required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills; keen attention to detail.
  • Solid mechanical knowledge.
  • Ability to accurately interpret and verify measurements using a tape measure.
  • Basic mathematical and computer skills.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Capability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in elevated or confined spaces.
  • Forklift experience is preferred.
  • Willingness to work overtime and weekends as necessary.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Must successfully pass a drug screening and background check.
  • High school diploma or equivalent education is required.

Preferred Attributes:

  • Desire and ability to quickly learn new processes and systems.
  • Experience in maintenance or as a belt technician is advantageous.
  • Adaptability to changing environments.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Work Environment:

In this role, the Production Warehouse Associate will frequently work near moving and mechanical equipment. The noise level in the work area may be elevated.

Physical Requirements:

The Production Warehouse Associate may need to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and will require manual dexterity and strength in the arms and feet to operate equipment controls, tools, and other items for adjustments or minor maintenance. The position may involve standing, bending, kneeling, or sitting for extended periods.

Position Type and Work Schedule:

This is a full-time position within a workshop environment. Typical working hours are Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, with occasional overtime and weekend shifts.

Compensation:

Pay Rate: $25.00 per hour
