Experienced Process Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Process Engineer to lead efforts to improve operations and processes in our production environment. The successful candidate will utilize lean manufacturing and process excellence principles to drive efficiency and productivity.
Key Responsibilities- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to expand manufacturing capabilities, lower operational costs, and increase process efficiencies.
- Work cross-functionally on purchased equipment manufacturing standards and performance expectations.
- Develop and manage capacity models for production lines and work with plant management to ensure capital purchases align with capacity projections.
- Analyze, design, and implement changes to equipment layout and workflow.
- Develop work instructions, training, and statistical performance measures for new or improved processes and equipment.
- Analyze processing and packaging technology and equipment to recommend effective manufacturing methods.
- Work with product development to determine appropriate process for commercializing new products and develop commercialization cost models.
- Conduct time studies, collect data for downtime analysis, and run rates.
- Communicate run rate changes due to process improvements to the planning team to ensure production schedule accuracy.
- Promote a continuous improvement culture throughout the facility.
- Report any food safety or quality issues to management or authorized personnel.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Systems) required.
- 5-10 years' experience in roles optimizing process and equipment performance and team member training required.
- Relevant experience analyzing operational capacity vs. planned production and implementing equipment installations for efficiency required.
- Understanding and application of Statistical Process Control.
- Experience in the food, pharmaceutical, or chemical industries preferred.
