We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Engineer to lead our design team in preparing plans and specifications for drinking water capital improvement projects. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for meeting the goals and objectives established by the Engineering Manager, including meeting schedules and budgets for design projects assigned to your team.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a design team to perform or manage multiple potable water supply, treatment, storage, and distribution design projects.
- Prepare design plans and specifications, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
- Plan, direct, assign, review, and evaluate the work of all assigned staff, including preparing performance evaluations and career development profiles.
- Coordinate internal and external resources, including consultants, to ensure timely completion of assigned design projects.
- Prioritize assigned design projects, monitor and report on design project schedules and budgets, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from an accredited college.
- Registration as a Professional Civil Engineer in the State of California.
- At least six years of progressively responsible experience in water infrastructure design.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to analyze and solve complex problems.
