Job Summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Store Receiver to join our team. As a Store Receiver, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth receipt and processing of inventory, maintaining accurate records, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Verify product receipt against purchase orders and supplier documentation
  • Inspect product for quality and integrity
  • Process invoices and distribute copies to relevant teams
  • Accurately close purchase orders in the store's proprietary purchasing application
  • Maintain a clean and organized receiving area
  • Collaborate with product teams to resolve inventory and accounting issues
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to internal and external customers

Requirements

  • 12+ months of retail experience, preferably in a distribution or receiving environment
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management and accounting procedures
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency
  • Physical ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for long periods

Working Conditions

  • Exposure to temperatures: 90 degrees Fahrenheit
  • Ability to work in a wet and cold environment
  • Ability to use tools and equipment, including box cutters, knives, electric pallet jacks, forklifts, hand trucks, six-wheel carts, balers, and other heavy machinery
