Job Title: Quality Assurance Specialist

Job Summary:

The Pivot Group is seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of quality in our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Vendor Selection and Management: Review and analyze engineering and manufacturing specifications to select the best vendors for critical components.
  • Quality Assurance and Compliance: Act as a liaison between product engineers, suppliers, and manufacturing personnel to address quality and delivery concerns.
  • Supplier Quality Audits: Conduct regular supplier quality audits, ensuring compliance with federal standards and company requirements.
  • Process Improvement: Collaborate closely with vendors to foster continuous improvement in quality and processes.
  • Scrap Analysis and Corrective Actions: Analyze scrap reports and implement corrective actions to improve production outcomes.
  • First Article Inspection: Assist in completing First Articles of Inspection according to various customer specifications.
  • Supplier Database Management: Maintain and update a supplier database, including performance evaluations and audit results.
  • Logistics and Material Handling: Address packaging and receiving issues, coordinating with logistics teams to ensure seamless material handling.
  • Additional Tasks and Projects: Support additional tasks and projects as directed by management, adapting to shifting business needs.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelors degree in Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, with the ability to work with ERP systems.
  • Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to facilitate effective collaboration across teams.
  • Manufacturing Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of manufacturing and production processes.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Familiarity with government compliance and quality control regulations.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and perform repetitive wrist-arm motions in a manufacturing setting.
  • Work Environment: Capacity to alternate between sitting and standing frequently.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience: Prior experience in supplier quality engineering or a related field.
  • Advanced Knowledge: Advanced understanding of ISO 9001 and other industry standards.
  • Hands-on Experience: Hands-on experience with supplier performance evaluations and corrective actions.
  • Manufacturing Audits: Familiarity with manufacturing audits and regulatory standards.
