Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Nurse

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit team at Ascension Seton Medical Center Austin. As a member of our team, you will provide direct nursing care to critically ill patients and work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
**Responsibilities**
* Provide direct nursing care to patients in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit, including assessing patient needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and evaluating patient outcomes.
* Implement and monitor patient care plans, including administering medications, performing procedures, and providing education to patients and families.
* Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care, including collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions.
* Note and carry out physician and nursing orders, including documenting patient information and communicating with the healthcare team.
* Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team, including arranging for post-discharge care and services.
**Requirements**
* BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
* Registered Nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
* Advanced Life Support preferred.
* Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR professional licensure at time of hire required.
