Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team in Wayne, Michigan. As a Registered Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory services to assist physicians in the diagnosis and management of patients with cardiopulmonary and related disorders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement and evaluate diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory services, including oxygen therapy, medical gas therapy, bronchodilator therapy, airway maintenance therapy, and non-invasive ventilation (NIV).
  • Provide diagnostic respiratory services and non-invasive monitoring, including pulse oximetry, arterial blood gas procurement, capnography, pulmonary function testing, apnea screening, bronchoscopy assistance, and EKG procurement.
  • Manage ventilators, perform non-invasive ventilation, arterial blood gas sampling/analysis, administer and monitor oxygen use, aerosolized medications, and therapeutic modalities.
  • Perform critical care procedures, including airway management, resuscitation, mechanical ventilation, and patient transport.
  • Assess patients and recommend patient care plans per established protocols, provide chart review, documentation, patient and family education regarding disease process and treatment plan.
  • Precept students and staff.
Requirements:
  • Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy or equivalent experience.
  • Eligibility for position after attainment of RRT NBRC status.
  • LIC-Respiratory Therapist license required upon hire.
  • CRT-Respiratory Therapist Registry certification required upon hire.
  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire from AHA or ARC.
Compensation and Benefits:

The estimated salary for this position is $75,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
