Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professional II CMA to join our team at Evergreen Life Services Texas. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the health and well-being of individuals served, including administering medication as allowed by state guidelines.
  • Assist individuals with daily living activities, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household chores.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care, including behavioral and physical support plans.
  • Provide transportation and accompaniment to individuals for medical appointments, social activities, and other outings.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation, including daily notes, incident reports, and medical information.
Requirements
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Meet and maintain all requirements of the applicable state agency, including good standing with the state abuse and neglect registry.
  • Successful completion of state-required medication administration certification and ongoing training.
  • At least six months of experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
Working Environment

As a Direct Support Professional II CMA, you will work in a variety of settings, including group homes, adult day care, and community-based programs. You will be required to work independently and as part of a team to provide high-quality care and support to individuals served.
