Medication Assistant Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled Medication Assistant to join our team at Experience SL Co. in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide medication reminders and assistance to residents, adhering to state regulations and guidelines.
- Administer medications as permitted by state laws and regulations.
- Order and receive medications, ensuring timely availability and communicating with the pharmacy as needed.
- Prioritize tasks to deliver exceptional service to residents, adapting to changing needs and requests.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date resident records in our digital platform, including medication distribution, incidents, and observations.
- Conduct regular room visits and checks to ensure resident safety and well-being.
- Assist with resident care as needed, responding promptly to requests for assistance.
- Monitor resident safety and communicate any changes to the Director of Health and Wellness or Wellness Nurse on duty.
- Audit and check rooms for medications residents are self-administering, ensuring compliance with guidelines.
- Maintain open communication with supervisors and peers to promote awareness of resident issues.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent, with 2-4 years of related experience and/or training.
- Medication certification as required by state guidelines.
- Successful completion of the ESL medication competency upon hire and as required by state regulation.
- First Aid and CPR Certification if required by state law and/or Company standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to read and interpret documents and speak effectively to customers and employees.
- Able to work cooperatively with a group of people to achieve goals and objectives.
- Able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with tact and discretion.
- Able to adapt to changing situations and priorities, with a high level of service delivery and hospitality.
