About the RoleWe are seeking a Per Diem On-Call Hospice Registered Nurse to join our team in the Alpharetta/Atlanta, GA area. As a hospice nurse, you will provide care and support to terminally ill patients, bringing comfort and peace of mind to those facing the end of their lives. Your compassionate nature and excellent interpersonal skills will make you an ideal candidate for this position.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to plan patient care
- Triage phone calls and respond to patient needs
- Make visits to patients as needed to evaluate their condition and provide support
- Work with caregivers to plan and execute excellent patient care
- Administer medication and alleviate symptoms as needed
- Notify physicians of patient conditions when necessary
- Assist patients and their families with paperwork and documentation
- Maintain accurate records of patient care
- Provide post-mortem support to patients and their families
- A valid RN license to practice in the State of GA
- Proven experience as a hospice nurse or registered nurse
- Knowledge of nursing care processes and medication guidelines
- Commitment to safety precautions and high ethical standards
- Sound judgment and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and bilingual ability (a plus)
- Compassionate and patient with emotional stability
