Advanced Practice Nurse in Wound Care

Work Schedule:

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, direct, and assess health care for residents and staff in long-term care settings.
- Travel daily to various facilities to provide care.
- Consult with and update physicians, prescribe medications, and perform bedside procedures related to wound care.
- Collaborate with the medical director in the treatment and care of residents and staff.
- Apply and manage topical wound care and related products.
- Educate patients and Primary Care Physicians on current practices in wound management.
Qualifications:
- Proof of Covid vaccination is required.
- Current approval from the Board of Nursing to perform medical acts.
- Master's degree in Nursing.
- Able to lift up to 100 pounds to assist residents.
- Able to lift 10 pounds for routine tasks.
- Capable of pushing/pulling over 70 pounds during patient care.
- Must be able to bend, squat, kneel, and twist as necessary for patient care.
- Depth perception is essential for performing medical procedures.
- May encounter adverse indoor and outdoor conditions, bloodborne pathogens, and physical hazards.
- Willingness to travel to multiple Skilled Nursing Facilities in the local area.
