Job Overview

Sunroad Automotive is seeking a highly skilled Senior Automotive Technician to join our team at BMW of El Cajon. As a key member of our service department, you will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing vehicles to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose mechanical problems using computer diagnostic equipment and perform repairs efficiently
  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance, including oil changes and tune-ups
  • Communicate directly with Service Advisors to ensure seamless customer experience
  • Provide estimates of time needed for additional repairs and inspect vehicles for damage
  • Supervise and train junior technicians, ensuring the highest level of quality and efficiency

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years' experience as an entry-level automotive technician
  • Valid driver's license and safe driving record
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • National Institute of Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification in eight automotive specialty areas
  • Extensive knowledge of vehicle repair and mechanical skills
  • Excellent technical and customer service skills
