Job Description:
The College of Liberal Arts at Texas State University seeks to develop a pool of candidates for possible temporary/nontenured faculty to teach in Philosophy or Religious Studies.
About the Department:
The Department of Philosophy at Texas State University is dedicated to fostering a community of scholars who engage in rigorous academic inquiry and critical thinking.
Job Responsibilities:
- Teach one to four courses per semester in Philosophy or Religious Studies
- Develop and implement curriculum that aligns with departmental goals and objectives
- Engage in scholarly activities, including research and publication
- Participate in departmental service and committee work
Requirements:
- Master of Arts (MA) or its equivalent in Philosophy, Religious Studies, or a related field
- At least 18 hours of graduate coursework in the relevant discipline
- Commitment to excellence in the classroom
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in the specific area of instruction
- Previous teaching experience
