Job Title: Chemist

Aurolife Pharma USA, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Chemist to join our team in the pharmaceutical industry. As a Chemist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and purity of our products.

Job Summary:

The Chemist will be responsible for performing various QC testing to assess the strength, identity, and purity of test samples and/or materials. This includes working as a member of a team to effectively plan and execute analytical testing using established test procedures.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform assigned sampling, physical, and chemical tests on packaging materials, raw materials, active pharmaceutical ingredients, in-process, finished, and stability products using various wet chemicals, physical, and instrumental techniques.
  • Independently plan and make adequate inventory of test reagents and solutions to perform work, ensuring supplies are ordered as needed to perform assigned work.
  • Independently plan and execute testing to meet established time lines, performing complicated testing with supervisory direction.
  • Record data and results as specified in documentation procedures, documenting work clearly and performing tests accurately.
  • Prepare and/or review test procedures, SOPs, and protocols as assigned.
  • Perform maintenance and calibrations of laboratory instruments/equipment with supervisory direction/training.
  • Perform troubleshooting and investigations under the direction of a supervisor.
  • Comply with all regulatory/in-house requirements when performing assigned activities.
  • Review analytical documents as required.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum BS in a scientific field, with Chemistry as one of the subjects preferred.
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in pharmaceuticals and 1-2 years of experience in analytical testing desirable.
  • QC experience in generic pharmaceutical industries preferred.
  • Knowledge of Good Documentation practices and USP/ICH/FDA regulations.
  • Ability to learn quickly and make decisions.
Physical Requirements:

The Chemist must be able to bend at the waist and knees, twist at the trunk, and practice good personal hygiene. They must also be able to lift up to 25 lbs and wear laboratory protective gowning and equipment, including goggles, face shields, respirators, and protective gloves.
