Job Summary

CICONIX is seeking a highly skilled Research Scientist to join our team at the Traumatic Brain Injury Center of Excellence (TBICoE) in Bethesda, MD. As a Research Scientist, you will play a critical role in developing and leading clinical research studies focused on traumatic brain injury (TBI).

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and lead clinical research studies on TBI, including formulating experimental hypotheses, designing study protocols, and analyzing data.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on TBI-related initiatives, including clinicians, researchers, and other stakeholders.
  • Prepare reports for publication and present research findings at internal and external scientific meetings.
  • Assist in developing and testing new technologies and protocols, and coordinate with other technical and professional staff.
Requirements
  • Ph.D., MD, or MD/PhD in a related scientific discipline, or a Master's degree with at least 10 years of clinical TBI research experience.
  • 2-3 years of clinical research experience, with prior experience within the DoD/VA systems of care with neurological disorders and TBI clinical research experience strongly preferred.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently and supervise others.
