Through NBA Cares, the league engages with community organizations globally to tackle pressing social issues related to education, inclusion, youth and family development, and health and wellness.

Job Summary:

  • Accountable for sourcing, tracking, and delivering both physical and digital assets to production teams.
  • Proposes and maintains a comprehensive database of game-related content for remote productions and relevant ancillary programming.
  • Collaborates with Ad Sales, Ad Trafficking, Graphics, and Music teams to ensure timely delivery of sponsored and creative graphic elements to production teams, along with necessary copy.
  • Conducts quality control on video, audio, and graphic elements to meet broadcast standards.
  • Creates high-quality, shareable content that aligns with the NBA brand and its narrative.
  • Facilitates communication and manages the delivery of available content to production teams and the Game Distribution Center.
  • Reports directly to the Associate Vice President of Live Game Production.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Develops a content strategy that aligns with both short-term and long-term league objectives, in conjunction with the NBA calendar and significant player/team milestones.
  • Ensures all video and audio clearances are obtained prior to content distribution.
  • Works alongside Ad Sales and Traffic teams to guarantee the maintenance, delivery, and quality of sponsored graphic elements in accordance with production timelines and standards.
  • Collaborates with the graphics team to ensure the timely maintenance and delivery of graphic elements that meet production quality standards.
  • Coordinates with the Music Coordinator to facilitate music requests for content and production.
  • Engages with various internal departments to manage the database of available content and oversee necessary updates.
  • Liaises directly with production teams regarding new content tailored for their respective markets.
  • Manages the distribution of content to live productions, the Game Distribution Center, and the social media team.
  • Edits and proofreads content-related copy as required.

Required Education/Professional Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience as a content manager.
  • Experience in strategically sourcing and managing content.
  • Experience in a highly matrixed organizational environment.

Required Skills/Knowledge Attributes:

  • Strong knowledge of current and historical NBA narratives and social media platforms.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Proven communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Willingness to work non-standard hours during the sports season as needed.

Salary Range: $100,000 - $125,000
