Hours: 6:30am-2:30pm (morning), 2:30pm-10:30pm (afternoon), 10:30pm-6:30am (overnight)

Compensation
Base Rate + $1.00 for afternoon shifts / Base Rate + $1.50 for overnight shifts

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct oversight and monitoring of children in care, ensuring they are always within sight.
  • Transport children to appointments, educational activities, and other scheduled outings as needed.
  • Maintain appropriate staff-to-child ratios, ensuring safety and support.
  • Encourage and facilitate children's daily activities, fostering a nurturing and trauma-informed atmosphere.
  • Accurately complete and submit incident reports in accordance with established protocols.
  • Assist with meal preparation and cleanup, including warming meals provided by kitchen staff.
  • Maintain cleanliness of living spaces, including laundry and general facility upkeep.
  • Participate in the intake and discharge processes, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed.
  • Communicate effectively with other departments regarding children's behavior and adjustment.
  • Support the training of new Youth Care Workers under the guidance of Shift Coordinators.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and competencies.
  • Assist residents with personal hygiene and daily living activities through modeling and structured support.
  • Implement and promote Trauma-Informed Care principles.
  • Follow individualized service and safety plans for each resident.
  • Promote cultural sensitivity and acculturation among the children.
  • Effectively manage unexpected events and crisis situations with a constructive approach.
  • Utilize de-escalation techniques to assist children in crisis, applying physical interventions when necessary.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding client information and records.
  • Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming living environment for all residents.
  • Complete documentation in accordance with agency standards.
  • Demonstrate accountability for the management and safety of daily routines and therapeutic programs.
  • Support compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards.
  • Adhere to safety procedures and report any unsafe practices or conditions.
  • Exhibit appropriate professional behavior at all times.
  • Report any legal issues or concerns that may arise in accordance with agency policies.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Proficient in Windows, MS Word, and Excel; comfortable with technology.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English preferred.
  • Must possess Act 33/34 and FBI clearances along with a valid PA driver's license.
  • Minimum age of 21 years required.
  • Ability to perform essential job functions in compliance with ADA and FMLA standards.
