Job Description

At Special Occasions, we are seeking a skilled Linen Processing Personnel to join our team. This role is responsible for cleaning, processing, packaging, and preparing equipment as specified by the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean and iron all linens according to manufacturer and company policy.
  • Ensure linens are cleaned, packaged, and restocked per company procedure.
  • Inspect and sort returned dirty linens per company process and policy.
  • Uphold quality control standards of the company.
  • Follow all safety regulations and policies.
  • Maintain accurate counts of all laundry during count in and count out procedures.
  • Log damaged and missing items per company procedures and timelines.
  • Assist in pulling and prepping orders.
  • Notify supervisor immediately when cleaning equipment breaks.
  • Report safety violations to supervisor.
  • Communicate with supervisor.
  • Fill in for other positions as needed for smooth operation of the business.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Attend department, store, and safety meetings.
  • Perform other duties as requested.

Working Conditions:

  • Daily use of washer, dryers, and flatwork ironers, which release hot air, exposing you to above-average temperatures.
  • Most work will be performed in a warehouse setting with limited exposure to outside elements, some work areas may not be heated or air-conditioned.
  • May have exposure to chemicals, including detergents, bleaches, and other cleaning chemicals.
  • Standing for long periods of time.
  • Repetitive bending, reaching, lifting, pushing, pulling, and moving items.
