Mechanical Designer/Drafter

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Designer and Drafter to join our Advanced Sawmill Machinery team in Holt, FL. As a key member of our multidisciplinary design team, you will be responsible for creating accurate and detailed models and technical drawings for machinery and components using AutoCAD and SolidWorks software.

• Design and develop accurate and detailed models and technical drawings for machinery and components using AutoCAD.
• Create fabrication details, assembly drawings, and installation packages, ensuring that all necessary specifications and measurements are included.
• Provide technical support during fabrication and installation of new equipment.
• Field measure of existing facilities.
• Design and modify machinery and components to meet specific customer needs and optimize performance.
• Work closely with engineers and project managers to understand design requirements and incorporate feedback into designs.
• Ensure all design files, drawings, and revisions are accurately documented and stored in the company's database for future reference.
• Ensure that all designs comply with industry safety standards and company protocols, incorporating necessary safety features into the designs.

• Associate degree in Engineering Technology or Computer-Aided Drafting.
• 5+ years of relevant industrial experience in heavy equipment & machinery design, experience in sawmill/forest industry a bonus.
• 2+ years of experience with AutoCAD required.
• Ability to use SolidWorks and Master-Cam considered an asset.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Possess a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. Ability to travel within the region as needed.
• Solid understanding of mechanical principles, with a keen ability to apply this knowledge in practical settings.
