Overview

We are looking for a Senior Transceiver Engineer specializing in quality assurance of incoming materials. In this role, you will take charge of the hardware and PCBA design for optical transceivers. Your responsibilities will encompass the following:

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical and optical design and measurements for optical transceivers.
  • Execute RF simulations for high-speed signal communication links.
  • Oversee the integration of optical components, hardware, and firmware, including debugging and troubleshooting of optical transceivers.
  • Generate documentation such as drawings, BOM, and ECO to detail design processes. Collaborate with program managers, buyers/planners, and suppliers to ensure timely availability of designed components for production.
  • Assist in resolving all Design for Manufacturing (DFM) challenges.
  • Conduct architectural, Engineering Verification Testing (EVT), and Design Verification Testing (DVT) phase reviews.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Optical Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with Ansys HFSS is preferred.
  • Proficient in analog and digital circuit design.
  • Strong foundation in circuit theory, linear systems, feedback mechanisms, integrated circuits, and high-speed RF principles.
  • Excellent laboratory measurement capabilities.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience with high-density multi-layer board design cycles.
  • Familiarity with electronic CAD tools and electronic system modeling.
  • Expertise in RF design using modeling tools such as HFSS is advantageous.
  • Understanding of microprocessors and real-time control firmware is a plus.
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as C/C++/Python is beneficial.
  • A solid background in optical transceiver design is a plus.
