Job Description:

The Child Care Teacher at Bright Horizons Children's Centers provides a safe, nurturing environment for children to encourage social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development. This role involves designing and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum in line with guidelines from Bright Horizons and the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). The ideal candidate will maintain positive relationships with parents/guardians, children, and coworkers while ensuring safety and supervision of children at all times.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Interaction Between Staff and Children:
  • Interact frequently, respectfully, and affectionately with children by smiling, touching, and holding them.
  • Communicate directly with each child at their level and engage constructively during activities and routines.
  • Maintain confidentiality about issues concerning staff members, children, and families or Bright Horizons management and operations.

Requirements:

To be successful as a Child Care Teacher, you must meet state requirements for the position and have a high school diploma/GED. Related college-level coursework or CDA course work is preferred. Experience working with young children and knowledge of developmentally appropriate curriculum practice are also essential.


Estimated Salary Range:

$18.50 - $22.50 per hour
