Job Duties
Sitter & Barfoot Veterans Care Center is recruiting for a RN Floor Nurse with for the 3:00pm-11:30pm shift which can include every other weekend.
The RN is responsible for delivering skilled nursing care for our veteran residents. The RN is responsible for maintaining the quality of services, monitoring, and supervising the direct care staff in the performance of their duties.
Other Duties May Include:
- Administering medications and treatment accurately for assigned residents;
- Making daily rounds;
- Observing and evaluating the physical and emotional status of assigned residents and taking necessary actions to ensure their health and well-being;
- Consulting with physicians, receiving, recording, and implementing orders and scheduling appointments;
- Documenting residents' health changes via acute care nurse's notes and shift change nursing reports;
- Formulating plans of care for new residents;
- Preparing all required reports and documentation;
- Maintaining equipment, supplies, and materials necessary for nursing care;
- Consulting with Nursing Supervisor/Unit Manager as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Virginia
Additional Considerations
Nursing experience in a long-term care or adult geriatric setting preferred
