Your role is crucial. Every position influences our patients' experiences, and you have the chance to make a significant impact. We are seeking a committed Nuclear Medicine Technologist PRN to join our team.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe Nuclear Medicine Technologist is tasked with executing all nuclear medicine procedures for both inpatients and outpatients as directed by the referring clinician.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing the daily schedule of patient examinations.
- Conducting Nuclear Medicine procedures in accordance with established protocols, including the administration of radiopharmaceuticals.
- Processing patient studies for review by cardiologists and/or radiologists.
- Maintaining daily assignments, schedules, and quality control on imaging equipment.
- Keeping a database of patients, managing scheduling, and retrieving statistical data from NMIS computer systems.
- Engaging in initiatives aimed at enhancing patient care.
- Receiving and verifying Radiopharmaceuticals appropriately.
- Positioning and imaging patients using Gamma camera technology.
- Participating in departmental radiation safety protocols through GM readings and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Involvement in patient assessment and educational efforts for patients and their families.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification.
- Certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB).
