Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Case Manager to join our team at Fortune Society Inc. in Bronx, NY. The successful candidate will be responsible for screening women arraigned in the Bronx Criminal Court (BCC) to identify potential participants for mental health services and treatment.

This is a full-time, non-exempt position that requires excellent participant engagement skills, time management, and personal organization. The ideal candidate will have a Master's Degree in criminal justice, social work, or a related field, with substantial experience working with populations experiencing mental illness, commercial sexual exploitation, labor/sex trafficking, gender-based violence, and/or sexual assault.

The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $70,000 annually, based on experience, and is negotiable depending on qualifications. Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct screenings of women arraigned in the BCC to identify potential participants for mental health services and treatment;
  • Flag cases of those women who are appropriate candidates for mental health court, human trafficking intervention court, drug court, or other problem-solving courts;
  • Serve as a resource for judges and court personnel in the BCC on questions related to mental health services and treatment for women;
  • Develop referral tracking tools and maintain accurate notes, including status of the referral and follow-up activities;
  • Work with Fortune's data analytics team to produce and quantify key data such as number of internal/external referrals, type of service connections made, and length of engagement;
  • Assist in maintaining and tracking data entry for GPRAs at baseline, 6-month follow-ups, and discharge.

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in criminal justice, social work, or a related field;
  • Substantial experience working with populations experiencing mental illness, commercial sexual exploitation, labor/sex trafficking, gender-based violence, and/or sexual assault;
  • Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with treatment and criminal justice systems;
  • Preferring candidates fluent in a second language.
