Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team. As a Medical Care Specialist, you will be responsible for providing evidence-based medical care to patients, examining and treating chronic and urgent episodic illnesses, and collaborating with caregivers and other healthcare professionals to maintain a comprehensive plan of care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide Medical Care: Plan, direct, and evaluate patient medical needs, examining and treating chronic and urgent episodic illnesses, minor injuries, accidents, and other injuries or illnesses.
  • Order and Interpret Laboratory and Diagnostic Testing: Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic testing as needed to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with Healthcare Professionals: Collaborate with caregivers and other healthcare professionals to provide interdisciplinary care and maintain a comprehensive plan of care.
  • Provide Referrals: Provide referrals to other healthcare practitioners when necessary to ensure patients receive comprehensive care.
  • Maintain Patient Records: Ensure patient medical records are kept up to date and accurate.
Qualifications
  • Active State License: Hold an active state Nurse Practitioners license.
  • National Board Certification: Possess current Nurse Practitioner National Board Certification.
  • Active DEA Licensure: Hold active state DEA licensure.
  • Master's Degree in Nursing: Possess a Master's degree in Nursing (MSN).
  • Nursing Experience: Have five or more years of nursing experience, with at least two years of nurse practitioner experience preferred.
  • Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Possess strong interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Time Management and Accountability: Demonstrate excellent time management skills and accountability for practitioner's daily workflow.
  • Medical Instrument and Equipment Proficiency: Possess proficiency in medical instruments and equipment.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA Regulations: Demonstrate strong knowledge base of HIPAA and OSHA regulations.
  • Computer-Based Data Management: Possess demonstrated proficiency in computer-based data management programs, electronic medical record (EMR) systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Licensed Driver: Be a licensed driver with valid automobile insurance.
  • Physical Activity: Be able to engage in moderate physical activity, such as handling objects up to 25 lbs., standing or walking for more than four hours per day, etc.
