Key Responsibilities

Role Responsibilities:

The Registered Nurse, under the guidance of nursing leadership, is accountable for the planning, directing, implementing, coordinating, and assessing nursing care for a designated unit during their shift.

  • Receives and reviews reports from the previous shift, ensuring comprehensive understanding of each resident's needs.
  • Continuously monitors and assesses the behavior, symptoms, reactions, and progress of residents, communicating findings with the Nurse Manager or Charge Nurse.
  • Administers and accurately documents all medications in accordance with established protocols, physician directives, and regulatory standards.
  • Executes all treatments as per physician orders and established guidelines.
  • Engages in discussions regarding the necessity to modify or discontinue medications or treatments with the Nurse Manager or Charge Nurse.
  • Coordinates the ordering of prescribed medications, informs the pharmacy of any discontinued medications, and ensures the accuracy of medications and dosages received.

Employment Type: Part Time

Compensation: $54.36 to $67.08 based on experience.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Current Registered Nurse License in New York State.

Educational Background:

  • Associate Degree in Nursing.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
