We are currently seeking a Chemical Receiving Specialist to oversee Drum Receiving and Lab Pack coding operations within our facility. This role involves performing essential warehouse tasks while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
Position Overview:
This is a full-time, permanent position that offers competitive hourly wages starting at $29, depending on experience, along with opportunities for overtime. The work schedule consists of 4 shifts of 12 hours, with options for day or night shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure that health and safety protocols are prioritized by adhering to all safe work practices and policies.
- Sample incoming drums and conduct basic analyses following established procedures.
- Calibrate and utilize necessary instrumentation for basic analysis, including pH paper.
- Complete all required documentation related to waste analysis and drum sampling, ensuring compliance with QA/QC guidelines.
- Manage waste generated from testing procedures effectively.
- Code and label all drums accurately, maintaining proper records.
- Operate a forklift to transfer drums within the warehouse.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Completion of a college-level Chemistry course is mandatory.
- An Associate's Degree or vocational training is preferred.
- Proficiency in Windows-based applications is essential.
- Previous experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts or similar machinery is advantageous.
- Strong commitment to health and safety practices.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Valid U.S. driver's license is required.
- Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
