Key Responsibilities:- Patient Care: Assist healthcare providers with patient exams, procedures, and treatments. Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families.
- Administrative Support: Manage patient records, schedules, and communication. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, and ensure confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
- Clinical Support: Assist with medical procedures, such as EKGs, immunizations, and ear lavage. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, and adhere to infection control protocols.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and other healthcare team members. Respond to patient inquiries, and provide clear and concise information.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with healthcare providers, nurses, and other support staff to ensure seamless patient care and efficient operations.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Medical Assistant certification or equivalent clinical training preferred.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and prioritize tasks effectively. Basic computer knowledge and proficiency in electronic medical records (EMRs) a plus.
- Experience: Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred.
This position requires prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and walking. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and push/pull equipment as needed.
