Position Title: Special Education Teacher (K-2)

Caseload: Elementary Level

Compensation: $25-35+ based on qualifications and experience

Overview:

Soliant is in search of a qualified Special Education Teacher to deliver tailored educational support to students with disabilities. In this role, you will collaborate with the Building Principal and the Director of Special Education to create and execute Individualized Educational Programs (IEPs) for your assigned students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver evidence-based specialized instruction to meet the educational goals outlined in each student's IEP.
  • Evaluate student progress and identify the need for additional support or modifications to teaching strategies.
  • Utilize diverse instructional methods and learning principles to help students achieve their IEP objectives.
  • Formulate and implement annual IEP plans for students.
  • Coordinate the provision of special education services as specified in each student's IEP.
  • Create an engaging learning environment focused on individualized instruction.
  • Collaborate effectively with fellow educators.
  • Act as the primary liaison for parents.
  • Conduct evaluations and reevaluations for special education services.
  • Provide guidance, oversight, and assessment of educational assistants as needed.
  • Adhere to School Board policies and comply with all state and federal regulations.
  • Fulfill all district and state reporting obligations.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess the 461 endorsement for Tennessee.
  • Education and experience as mandated by state certification authorities.
  • Ability to perform under stress associated with responsibilities that require constant attention and interaction with students.
  • Physical demands limited to classroom activities, including lifting/moving items up to 25 pounds.

Working Environment:

  • Responsibilities are conducted in a classroom setting with minimal exposure to environmental factors.
  • Occasional local travel may be necessary; overnight travel is not required.
  • Position requires the use of standard office equipment.
