Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Machine Maintenance Technician to join our team at Silgan Closures. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our injection and compression molding machines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on injection and compression molding machines, including hydraulic and electrical systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical and quality problems, and restore malfunctioning equipment to service with minimal delay.
  • Work collaboratively with the production team to ensure efficient operation of the manufacturing process.
  • Monitor materials and supplies to ensure adequate inventory levels.
  • Minimize scrap production and machine downtime during color changes.
Requirements
  • Strong mechanical abilities and experience, with a proven track record of diagnosing and repairing engine problems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, including safety procedures and operating instructions.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Attention to detail and ability to demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn and adapt.
