Project Materials Coordinator

At Power Line Supply (PLS), we are seeking a highly skilled Project Materials Coordinator to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of our projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with project managers to develop comprehensive project plans, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
  • Provide accurate and timely information, quotes, credit terms, and bid specifications to customers, fostering strong relationships and driving business growth.
  • Facilitate effective communication between project team members, stakeholders, and external partners, ensuring seamless collaboration and issue resolution.
  • Organize and lead regular project meetings, providing updates and addressing concerns to ensure project momentum and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Assist in the allocation of resource materials, ensuring optimal utilization and meeting project requirements.
  • Work closely with relevant teams to ensure resource availability and optimal utilization, driving efficiency and productivity.
  • Support the monitoring and tracking of projects, identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
  • Utilize Business Intelligence (BI) tools to update orders and quotes as needed, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  • Assist in customer cost updates and maintain best-in-practice pricing within our P21 software, driving revenue growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Investigate and resolve invoicing and freight charge issues with Accounting in a timely manner, ensuring financial accuracy and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with Customer Service, Procurement, and Operations to develop and/or improve best-in-class processes, procedures, and daily activities, driving operational excellence.
  • Evaluate daily, weekly, and monthly reports, taking actions to improve the overall efficiency of the Customer Service department to support Procurement and Operations.
  • Identify potential project material risks and assist in developing mitigation strategies, ensuring project success and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Generate regular project status reports for stakeholders, highlighting key milestones and potential issues through the use of BI, ensuring transparency and stakeholder engagement.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in project coordination within the utility industry, with a strong understanding of industry best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and team members.
  • Proficient in project management tools and software, with a strong understanding of BI and data analysis.
  • Knowledge of utility industry best practices, with a strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to identify and mitigate potential risks and issues.
