Job Title: Senior CDI/Coding Educator and Data Consultant

Join our team as a Senior CDI/Coding Educator and Data Consultant, where you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations pertaining to coding and billing. As a senior member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting health-system-wide coding analyses, promoting compliance with coding and billing regulations, and providing education and training to coders, CDIs, and providers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct health-system-wide coding analyses to promote compliance with federal and state regulations pertaining to coding and billing.
  • Develop and implement education programs to promote coding and billing compliance.
  • Provide education and training to coders, CDIs, and providers on coding and billing best practices.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to address them.
  • Monitor and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement reports to track and analyze coding and billing data.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in coding and billing.
  • Accredited as a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Certified Documentation Improvement Professional (CDIP) by the American Health Information Management Association, or Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist (CCDS) by ACDIS.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience as an educator.
  • Experience with 3M encoder and reporting.
  • Knowledge of hospital reimbursement models, trends, and their impact.
